Converse Cons-Brooklyn

In early 2017 a producer emailed me about a campaign for Converse Cons. A Casting Director had discovered my dancing on Instagram and wanted to cast me in this shoot. They weren't interested in an in person meeting or any of the usual process that comes with casting, which was delightfully rare and streamlined everything significantly. They then delivered the bonus news that I could chose two close dancer friends of to accompany me who would also be paid. I submitted Elle Erdman and Elanor Bock. Two friends from Brooklyn who Iā€™d worked with a number of times in various commercial and personal projects. It was one of those days that barely feels like work. One of those days I pinched myself that this is what work can be. We span on rooftops and sailed over the painted lines of tennis courts, transforming a sports stage into a proscenium arch theater. Swung from sidewalk scaffolding like kids on a jungle gym. And at the end of it all, out of breath, giddy and dizzy, we stumbled into a corner bodega hunting for hydration to quench our thirst.
