Doré Sweet Escape
This editorial was shot exactly twenty three days after I married Todd at the Ventura Courthouse on a crisp Tuesday afternoon. When I showed up to Will Rodgers State Beach to shoot, the air was frigid but the company was good. Naturally, as conversation started flowing, I told Veronica (the writer of this piece) about recently getting married and it was in those five minutes of recalling a day that’s hard to describe and a pleasure to recall, where she found he concept for the video. I would re-record my account of getting wed, send it to her and she’d drop it in as voiceover in the video. I recorded it once and sent it off, which is what’s heard in the video below. A one and done is rare…but when you’re speaking truthfully you don’t need to overthink it.
